Binning Knives Saves Lives are a community volunteer group run by the ‘Knife Man’ and local legend Courtney Barrett.
Courtney and his gang of volunteers have taken over 1200 knives off our streets and are dedicated to making Londons streets a safer place for our communities.
In BKSL's debut borough in only six months knife crime in Waltham Forest was reduced by 34%, whilst it rose in every other London Borough.
BKSL have taken over 1200 knives off the streets and out of circulation and have enrolled many troubled youths and gang members into ongoing activities and courses which have transformed their lives.
BKSL have also educated and changed the mindsets of many thousands, and provided free sports for children of parents who are on benefits.
BKSL have also take many knives from gang members and helped to turn their lives around by enrolling them into meaningful activities and courses, and giving them ongoing care & support.
BKSL also provide a knife collection service to minimise the number of knives in people’s homes, and have united other organisations, religious groups, businesses, and councillors, in the battle against knife crime.
Importantly BKSL also support many families who have lost their loved ones to knife crime.
BKSL have also helped to create a family friendly anti knife crime app, with the help of 48 school children. The safety app makes families a lot more aware and safer from knife crime. You can download the free app called 'Aunty Knife' from your app store.
Please support BKSL in trying to achieve a safer future for everyone.
BKSL are totally unfunded and rely on donations to run, so please donate and help us to continue making communities safer, and making a difference to so many.

Using the many tactics we use to reduce knife crime, we provide solutions that make a long-lasting difference to many people.
There is no immediate solution to the knife crime epidemic, but united as a community we can reduce it quite considerably and save a lot of families from going through the nightmare that so many devastated families are going through every day of their lives.
Knife crime affects everyone, and tomorrow it could be you or someone you love. So get involved and unite with us in achieving what we all wish for. A safer society.
OUR GOALS ARE:
1/ To take as many knives off the streets and out of circulation as possible.
2/ To build The London Knife Statue dedicated to all victims of knife crime, once we have collected enough knives.
3/ To support bereaved families as much as possible.
4/ To visit as many schools & youth groups as possible.
5/ To launch in as many areas as possible.
6/ To provide Bleed Control Kits to situate in shops & venues.
7/ To unite as many of the community as possible so that we can really make a massive difference.
8/ To lobby for harsher sentences, and various law changes in regards to the sale of knives.
9/ To support and enrol as many troubled youths, and gang members, into activities & courses, and give them the opportunity to turn their lives around.
10/ To continue the great work we've done for the past two and a half years.

Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and make such a difference to so many lives.
We are totally unfunded, so rely entirely on your donations.
Thank you for all of your tremendous support.

Bleed Control Kits are true lifesavers, and we believe that they should be in shops and businesses nationwide.
We are making a big effort to raise money to buy as many kits as possible, so we can place them in as many shops, businessess and venues as possible.
Thank you to everyone who helps us to buy these essential lifesaving kits because these really do save lives.
Many stab victims die due to bleeding out before an ambulance can arrive. With Bleed Control Kits situated in shops and venues in knife crime hotspots, many lives will be saved by having one close by.
We ask businesses, councils and all organisations to seriously consider investing in a bleed control kit and having it made easily accessible to the public. Your forward planning literally could save someone's life. Not all heros wear capes!
